Codeweavers is a commercial version of "wine". "Wine" is a windows
emulator to run windows program over Linux. I use the commercial version
to get an easy installation. Otherwise a Linux user can isntall and run
HandyFinance Desktops using just "wine" without forgetting to install
MSAccess 2000 libraries (DAO).
Another PC alternative is Moneydance 3.0 It is a java writen finance
program that runs very well in any plataform. It has a plugin to import
PocketMoney *.pdb backup files. This program also handles *.qif files
used by Intuit Quicken (windows finance program). That is the reason why
I asked you of the decode tools. If you can get *.qif files as well as
*.csv files, you can handle HandyFinance with Financial PC Programs
Both Handy Finance Desktops run very well over Linux. But on Linux does
not work the automatic synchronization with palm backup directories, you
have to do that manually.
I really like your
program and the way has been done to handle so many filtering
possibilities. Best of all it helps to put some order on my accounts and
the many things that are behind them. That is thanks to your work.

PD. I place FPDecode in a directory with the backup files and the
program scan it, but the python script has some problems with the python
version I am running. I will ask the developer for help.
For those Linux users that run the Codeweavers Crossover office, I
forget to tell them that the desktop icon of Handy Finance Desktop does
not work. They have to launch Handy Finance Desktop from the setup
"menus" tool of Crossover Office. Also it is better if they install with
the MS Access libraries.
